Tragic Accident at North Carolina Car Wash Claims Life of Employee
In a devastating incident that unfolded at a car wash in western North Carolina, a car wash worker lost their life after becoming trapped in the equipment. The local police, fire departments, and EMS teams rushed to the scene to rescue the employee, but unfortunately, their efforts were in vain.

Authorities received an urgent call for help from the ZIPS Car Wash on Gill Road at approximately 6:36 p.m. on Sunday. Weaverville police and fire departments, together with Buncombe County EMS, swiftly responded to the distress call. The situation was critical as the employee was stuck inside the car wash, his life hanging in the balance.
Tragic Outcome and Victim Identification
Despite the prompt arrival of first responders, they discovered the victim helplessly trapped in the car wash equipment. Tragically, the worker was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim has been identified as Carolina Franks, a 26-year-old resident of Buncombe County. The entire community mourns this terrible loss.
The North Carolina Department of Labor OHSA division has launched an investigation into the accident to determine the circumstances that led to this heartbreaking incident.
