**Man Arrested for Impersonating a Girl During Examination in Punjab**

In a surprising turn of events, a man has been arrested for impersonating a girl during an examination in Punjab, according to a report by India Today. The man, identified as Angrez Singh, was taking the test on behalf of Paramjit Kaur, both residents of Punjab’s Fazilka district.

The incident took place on January 7, when Singh appeared for a multipurpose health workers exam administered by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences at DAV Public School in Kotkapura, Faridkot district. He went to great lengths to disguise himself, sporting a wig, red bangles, a bindi, and a Punjabi suit.

However, the university administration became suspicious when Singh’s fingerprints did not match Kaur’s on the biometric device scanner. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that Singh had created a false identity, complete with fake Aadhar and voter cards. He even used a fake photo on Kaur’s identity card.

As soon as the administration discovered the fraud, they immediately reported it to the police, suspecting it may be part of a larger network. Singh was subsequently taken into custody in Faridkot, while Kaur’s form was rejected by the administration.

Speaking on the incident, Faridkot SP Jasmeet Singh assured India Today that they are thoroughly investigating the matter and will take appropriate action once their inquiry is complete.

Impersonation during examinations is a serious offense that undermines the integrity of the education system. It not only cheats deserving candidates out of their rightful opportunities but also raises concerns about the security measures in place.

This incident serves as a reminder for educational institutions to strengthen their examination protocols and implement stricter identification procedures. Additionally, it highlights the need for increased vigilance to prevent such fraudulent activities from occurring in the future.

As the investigation continues, it is hoped that this arrest will serve as a deterrent to others who may consider engaging in similar acts of deception. The authorities must ensure that the culprits are held accountable and that justice is served..
